The TACCS delegation convened with the Aegean Region Chamber of Industry in Izmir, Turkiye.
The meeting was hosted by EBSO Deputy Chairman Metin Akdas and Board Member Suha Kahraman, with TACCS President Erhan Cevikel and TACCS Turkiye Representative Oguz Aydemir also in attendance.
Discussions focused on fostering cooperative efforts to facilitate the safe and sustainable entry of companies from the Aegean Region into the US markets.
In October 2024, the Aegean Region managed to increase its exports by 8 percent from $2.6B to $2.8B U.S. dollars.
Aegean Region hosts important industrial and logistics centers, and has become Turkey's fastest growing region in this field by hosting the strategically important petrochemical, energy, textile, organic agriculture, iron and steel industries as well as extremely important investments in port operations in the last 15 years.
